Do your students conduct internet research in your classroom? Did you know that Google allows you to filter your search results by reading level? We’ll show you how in 4 easy steps!
Step 1: Type in your topic in the Google search box.
Step 2: Scroll down the left-hand column and click on where it says “Show Search Tools”. Once clicked, headings reading “Any Time” and “All Results” will replace the “Show Search Tools” option.
Step 3: Under the “All Results” heading, scroll down until you see “Reading Level” and click on it.
Step 4: Your results will be refreshed and a bar showing your results by reading level will appear under the Google search bar. Click on the appropriate level to filter your search results to those that are most appropriate for your students.
